In hopes that this will spread to become a national event, the 1st Annual
"National Day of Repentance" a 24 hour prayer and praise event will be held at Jesus Christ Fellowship beginning
at 6 pm Friday October 7 and ending at 6 pm Saturday October 8.
It's open to all believers in Jesus Christ our Lord. The hope is that the event will open more participation by different
Christian denominations. The emphasis will be on prayer.
The goal is to make this an annual event until the Lord returns. This date will vary each year and is chosen
to match the holy day of Yom Kippur each year. We are atiicipating that churches outside Lake County will pray and join
the 24 hour event. And God willing, one or more national political and/ or church leaders will eventually join to the point
that it can be deemed a "solemn assembly" --------focusing the body of Christ in one moment in time as one body to seek the
Lord's mercy in conformity with 2 Chronicles 7: 14 and Joel, chapter 2.
We are encouraging everyone to read Lamentations. There are just 5 Chapters and you can read one chapter
each day leading up to October 7.
